Love food or simply looking for a great day out over the Easter weekend?

Then head to Basingstoke and the festival of food at Festival Place’s Eat Street on Good Friday 29th or Easter Saturday 30th March, for a delicious event the whole family will relish, with food, live music acts and entertainment!

Come and enjoy the the smells, sounds and buzz of an authentic street market in Porchester Square, where some of your favourite restaurants such as Giraffe, GBK, Nando’s and Wagamama’s will be serving up bite sized dishes in return for a small donation to charity.

Celebrity TV chef James Tanner will also be putting his cookery skills to the challenge, cooking a meal from a mystery bag of ingredients.

The resulting dish will then be auctioned for charity, so you could be taking it home for supper!

Plus he'll also be trying out a new recipe created by a local Scout Group to help them achieve an activity badge.

It’s not just food on the menu, there's live Flamenco dancing and Jethro, lead singer of London Ska band Buster Shuffle, will be busking to raise funds for the NSPCC, all creating a real festival atmosphere for you to enjoy while tucking into that delicious food.

And it's all in a good cause, as a contribution from the money spent at Eat Street over the weekend will be given to the NSPCC.

Plus of course all your favourite restaurants and cafés at Festival Place will be open all over Easter, whether you want a quick coffee and snack while shopping, a pizza lunch with the family or cocktails and dinner for two in the evening.
