Jennifer Lopez's hairdresser has just revealed news that the star has had quite the drastic hair makeover – and we are here for it. Yup, the sight of JLo rocking fierce new pastel pink hair is exactly the high note we wanted to end the week on. 

Shared by her hairdresser, Chris Appleton, via an Instagram photo, the star's new look takes the form of pink, tousled mid-length pastel pink locks, with a grungy, ‘grown-out’ effect at the roots which by the looks of things have been purposefully left darker. 

Appleton has interwoven lighter, pale pink highlights throughout the style to create a softening effect around JLo's face. He captioned it: “Pink to make the boys wink,” inviting fans to share their thoughts on the new look. Our take? We're here for it!

Of course, this isn't the first time JLo has changed up her look. Both on and off our TV screens, has continued to serve serious hair and makeup inspiration for the past 30 years and is still considered to be a major beauty icon to this day, as well as an award-winning singer, a revered actress, a successful businesswoman and devoted mother.

JLo's rise to beauty fame all began back in the early 90s, with small TV roles and appearances that introduced us to her soft natural curls, naturally contoured cheekbones and her penchant for a smoky eye. As she transitioned into her music career, the multi-talented star became more experimental with her beauty choices, opting for more dramatic eye liner and lipsticks, as well as some standout hair looks (case in point, her bunches and bandana she wore to MTV Video Music Awards in 2000).

Over the years, her attendance at numerous red carpets from the Oscars, to the Met Gala, to the Grammys has cemented her title as the queen of the topknot, with various versions across the years from big and braided to slicked-back and sleek. Her other signature beauty look is, of course, smoky eyes and a nude lip, which never seems to go out of fashion.

That's not to say she can't switch things up when it comes to her hair and makeup. On the contrary, she has tried everything from bejewelled headdresses, to an extreme quiff, to bold lipstick and shimmering, silver eyeshadow.

This year also saw the superstar perform at the Inauguration of Joe Biden, wearing an all white ensemble, and showcasing one of her most glamorous makeup looks to date.
