Ke Huy Quan Is Hollywoods No. 1 Fan: See His Oscars Selfies With Andrew Garfield, Nicole Ki

Stars, they’re just like us.
Before Ke Huy Quan won the best supporting actor Oscar for his performance in “Everything Everywhere All at Once” on Sunday night, he made it his mission to take selfies with as many celebrities as possible. And boy, did he succeed: Quan’s roster included Andrew Garfield, Dwayne Johnson, Antonio Banderas, Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw, John Williams, Sandra Oh, Idris Elba, Nicole Kidman, Stephanie Hsu, Elizabeth Olsen, Jessica Chastain and Halle Berry.
Quan, who is Variety‘s post-Oscars cover star, recently made a comeback to acting after a nearly 20-year hiatus (he began his career as a child star in the ’80s, playing Short Round in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and Data in “The Goonies”). His performance in “Everything Everywhere” as Waymond Wang earned him critical acclaim, and he won the supporting actor prize at the Golden Globes, SAGs and Independent Spirit Awards, giving emotional and endearing speeches at each ceremony.
After winning the Oscar on Sunday, Quan fought through tears to deliver a message of hope and resilience: “My journey started on a boat. I spent a year in a refugee camp. And somehow, I ended up here on Hollywood’s biggest stage. They say stories like this only happen in the movies. I cannot believe it’s happening to me. This is the American dream!”
“Everything Everywhere All at Once” took home six more awards at the Oscars, including best picture, actress for Michelle Yeoh, supporting actress for Jamie Lee Curtis, original screenplay, directing and editing.
