Maldon: Man Arrested Over Attempted Armed Robbery
A man has been arrested by police investing an attempted armed robbery in Maldon.
A masked man, holding a small handgun, went into Costcutter on Dryden Close on Monday night.
The female member of staff screamed and pressed the panic alarm causing the man to leave left empty handed, running off towards the alleyway.
The 51-year-old from the town has been released on police bail until May 19 whilst further enquiries take place.
