North Weald: Armed Robbery At Golf Club
A caretaker at North Weald golf course has been tied up and forced into a cupboard by two masked men during a burglary there.
The men were armed with a knife and a crowbar and made off with a safe, money from the tills and trophies.
The caretaker managed to get free and call the police at around 11.50pm on Tuesday, May 22. It is thought the incident happened about an hour to 90 minutes earlier.
He was taken to hospital to be treated for shock but did not suffer any physical injuries.
Detectives now want to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity near the golf course, especially along the fence near the driving range where the thieves are thought to have got on to the site.
