SAG Awards 2020 Winners: Jennifer Aniston's Win and Her Emotional Acceptance Speech

Awards season is in full swing and the latest to be announced? The SAG Awards 2020.
Continuing her winning run at award season, Fleabag star and creator, Phoebe Waller Bridge, took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy and took to the stage with an emotional speech saying the award season has been a complete, “dream.”
In shock win, Jennifer Anistonbeat the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Olivia Colman to take home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama. After gasping and holding back tears the Friends star said, ““what?! I was thinking back to when I was a little girl and I had a tape deck and I would watch Happy Days and I will get out of this house and I will do that!”
In reference to her character Alex’s breakdown in The Morning Show , Jennifer continued to say: “Who knew emotional breakdowns felt so good… it was 8 months of therapy!”
Renee Zellweger was a very popular winner, receiving a standing ovation from the assembled actors. The actress won the Outstanding Leading Actress award for her portrayal of Judy Garland in the aptly titled, Judy. It was another emotional speech as Renee started by saying: “hello, my family – what an honour from my acting family.” She went on to say: “thank you for inviting me here alongside my extraordinary sisters,” and that, “your example inspires me,” and, “with luck pushes history closer to the light.” Go, Renee.
Michelle Williams, who has been giving us big acceptance speech energy, won her first SAG Award. After her pro-choice speech at the Golden Globes, Michelle dedicated the award to Ben Kinsley and referenced some game-changing advice the British actor gave her, “I don’t like to act, it’s very lonely. I like to react,” she started by sharing before continuing to say, “We’ve all felt that loneliness… sometimes you are acting with someone and their ego and that’s very lonely, sometimes you are acting with a dog and sometimes you get so damn lucky you find yourself opposite Sam Rockwell.”
Michelle concluded by dedicating the award to her daughter, who she had with Heath Ledger, in an emotional turn. “Matilda, it’s one thing to be completely honest as an actor and it’s another to be completely honest as a human being. It is just how you are and how you live, and you teach me so much," she said.
But the speech of the night was Brad Pitt, who not only reunited with his ex-wife, Jennifer, at the ceremony he also took home Best Supporting Actor for his role in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood . He started by saying: “I am going to add this to my Tinder profile.” Hold the actual line, Brad Pitt is on Tinder? We better get swiping.
