Chipmunks Refute Ice Age Conventional Wisdom

During the Ice Age, some populations of the eastern chipmunk persisted in the northern United States instead of migrating south to evade encroaching glaciers. That's according to new research to be published by the National Academy of Sciences. The new theory has implications for understanding animal migrations in light of global warming.
